Shirley Feng, M.S., CCC-SLP
SHIRLEY FENG
SENIOR SPEECH THERAPIST
Having emigrated from China at an early age, Shirley shares similar experiences of communication difficulties with the children and adults she serves. Passionate about inclusion and neurodiversity, an avid traveler, and fluent in Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) and conversational in Japanese, she is committed to giving back to the global community as a multilingual speech-language pathologist.
Shirley received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego and her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University, East Bay. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Dispensers Board.
She specializes in bilingual diagnostic evaluations and neurodiversity-affirming therapy for children and adults. Her clinical focus includes supporting autistic children through strengths-based, neuro-affirming approaches tailored to both analytic language processors and gestalt language processors (Natural Language Acquisition framework).
She also provides treatment for stuttering in children and adults, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, phonological and articulation disorders, and executive functioning challenges in adults.
Shirley has collaborated with Nancy Inman and PRC-Saltillo in the development of WordPower 60 and WordPower 40 in Mandarin Chinese, contributing to expanding culturally and linguistically responsive AAC resources for Mandarin-speaking users.

Aside from helping individuals and families, Shirley enjoys traveling the world with her partner and solo. She has been to 33 countries and looks forward to exploring many more.

Shirley老師小時候從中國移民到美國。當時的她並不會英文，親身經歷過溝通困難與學習新語言的挑戰，因此更能理解有語言語音困難者在溝通時所感受到的挫折。Shirley能說流利的中文（廣東話和普通話）以及基本日語。她致力於以多語言專業背景回饋社區，服務不同年齡層的個案與家庭。
Shirley老師擁有加利福尼亞大學聖地亞哥分校心理學學士學位，以及加利福尼亞州立大學東灣分校語言病理學理學碩士學位。她是美國言語聽覺協會（ASHA）與加州語言病理相關委員會的認證會員。
她專精於雙語診斷評估以及以神經多樣性為本（neurodiversity-affirming）的治療方式，服務兒童與成人。她特別專注於自閉症兒童的優勢導向介入，並根據不同的語言處理模式（分析型語言處理者與整體語言處理者／自然語言發展架構）提供個別化支持。
她同時提供兒童與成人的口吃治療、兒童期言語失用症、語音與發音障礙治療，以及成人執行功能挑戰之支持。
Shirley老師曾與 Nancy Inman 及 PRC-Saltillo 合作，共同開發普通話版本的 WordPower 60 與 WordPower 40 溝通系統，為普通話使用者提供更具文化與語言適切性的輔助溝通（AAC）資源。
